Sabio Fencing came home from the Wang Memorial with 3 gold 🥇, 3 silver 🥈, 4 bronze 🥉, and 21 top-8 🏅 medals! Amazing job to all of our fencers who brought home multiple podium finishes this weekend, including first-place wins by Nicole Lin and Yuri Kim.

Hayden Cheong competed for Team USA 🇺🇸 at the Pan-american Championships in Asuncion, Paraguay, winning TEAM GOLD for USA and a 10th place finish individually!

Rahm Shankar, Nivedh Chidambaram, and Sai Kondogi competed at the Motor City SYC in Michigan this past weekend! Rahm Shankar placed in the top 8 of the Y12 men’s sabre event!

6 Sabio fencers qualified for and competed at the Junior Olympics and the Division 1 NAC in Charlotte. Our notable performers were Nicole Lin, finishing 17th in Cadet Women’s Sabre, and Hayden Cheong, finishing 20th in Junior Men’s Sabre.

Sabio’s very own Nicole Lin competed at the World Cup in Segovia, Spain, earning an impressive 15th place finish in the individual event and winning GOLD in teams alongside Yifei Liu of Manhattan Fencing Center and Isabel Schmidt of Halberstadt Fencers’ Club. Congrats Nicole!

Sabio Fencing excelled at the Austin Challenge SYC, with Hannah Kwon winning GOLD in Y14 Women’s Sabre and earning her C24 rating. Yuri Kim secured 5th in Cadet Women’s Sabre, showcasing impressive skill.

Sabio shined in Arlington, with podium finishes by Ellie Son, Yuri Kim, and Rahm Shankar, plus top placements from Ainoor Qazi, Alaric Shen, and Aarambh Jain.

Sabio secured multiple medals, with Hannah Kwon earning two silvers in Junior and Division II Women’s Sabre, and Yuri Kim taking silver in Cadet Women’s Sabre, alongside numerous top 16 finishes.

Hayden Cheong competed at the Bladerunner ROC on the weekend of September 14-15 and earned his A24 rating! Congratulations to Hayden!
